Education and English for You (EEFY)Partnership Description: Through this service activity students, in collaboration with the NGO Education and English for You (EEFY) offer English tutoring services to students at a local primary school in Anono through fun interactive tasks that incorporate listening, speaking, reading and writing. This activity allows students to build confidence and improve their communication skills. Last year the club members also raised funds and installed 19 fans in classroom at Anono primary school to ensure a comfortable learning environment for the students.
EEFY was created to promote education in general  and the learning of English language among primary school going children in low income areas of Abidjan.

AISA GISS Project Description: Operation ‘Project Inspire’ – Help students from Anono Primary School paint their newly built first ever classroom cupboards. Inspirational quotes and specific decorations selected by each class at Anono Primary School will also be painted on to the bookshelves.

Association Imagine le Monde (AIM)Partnership Description: The organization’s mission is to help vulnerable and fragile individuals in the community to be fully integrated into community activities through projects such as rehabilitation and social reinsertion of handicapped persons, women economic empowerment, poverty reduction, contribute to access to primary education  etc. Last school year our collaboration focused on advocating for less use of plastic within our community, promoting the recycling of plastic waste and finding creative ways to reuse plastic waste. This year the focus is still environmental awareness, and we will be creating environmental skits through miming with hearing impaired students from AIM.

AISA GISS Project Description: Operation ‘The Street is not a Trash can’. Activities will start with a clean up campaign in Gonzagueville neighborhood, a low income area in Abidjan. This will be followed by talking with Gonzagueville residents about taking care of their environment and using proper waste management techniques.

SOS Village d’AboboPartnership Description: SOS village d’Abobo takes care of around 100 children, some orphans. The care is done through a family unit system where each group of about 10 kids ranging in age from  0 – 17 years lives in a house within the compound under the care of a house mother/father. There is a primary school and clinic on the village compound. Older kids in secondary school are sent to nearby schools.Our collaboration with the partner has involved food drives by student council, joint sport activities, books and school supplies donations.

AISA GISS Project Description: Operation ‘Fab Lab’ – Using tech to serve the community and as a tool for sustainable development. The projects carried out are in collaboration with Next Einstein Forum.
Project 1: SMART Garden – Create a smart self watering vegetable garden

ONG CAVOEQUIVAPartnership Description: The organization’s major focus is women’s rights. They operate a shelter that hosts girls that ran away from exploitation, sexual abuse, prostitution and other social issues. The girls stay at the shelter is short term as they are usually later reunited with their families. Our past collaborations with the partner include an IB CAS Fashion Show Fundraiser for purchasing food and medicines for the girls at the shelter and creation of recyclable sanitary pads in collaboration with the sewing club.

AISA GISS Project Description:
Projet Une École 5ha de Forêt – Reforestation Project – (Ivorian Ministry of Water and Forests) Partnership Description: The reforestation project, in collaboration with the Ivorian Ministry of Water and Forests teaches students environmental sustainability, and allows students to directly take action against the alarming deforestation rates currently observed in the country by growing indigenous trees for reforestation use on a nursery site on campus. Through this project 13 000+ trees were grown on ICSA campus and later transplanted in a local deforested area or donated to other schools for their reforestation activities. The project “Une École 5Ha de Forêt” is an initiative of the Ivorian Ministry of Forests. It is part of the national strategy for the improvement and security of reforestation efforts. The project aims to promote reforestation activities in schools and to promote sustainable development to meet the educational, material and financial needs of educational communities throughout the country.

AISA GISS Project Description:
Bingerville Orphanage for BoysPartnership Description: The state run Orphelinat de Garçons de Bingerville is home to about 100 boys and operates an elementary school on their site . Last year we partnered with them for a community gardening project.The second grade class also started a poultry project with the partner by donating 200 chicks with feed and medicines using funds raised from their market day project.

Habitat for HumanityPartnership Description: The activities of Habitat For Humanity Côte d’Ivoire are center around (3) major programs: The Social Housing Project , The water, hygiene and sanitization program and finally the advocacy program.We have collaborated with Habitat for Humanity in the past through helping build shelters and fundraising to the rehabilitation of water pumps in a village near Yamoussoukro.
