Rafiq Copeland

Rafiq Copeland, humanitarian and media maker, will be joining us for the conference, leading workshops with delegates as well as delivering a keynote speech. A media all-rounder with a specialization in humanitarian response and international development, Rafiq’s expertise is rooted in the world of Communicating with Communities, Communication for Development and Information as Aid. He is currently based in Dadaab, South Sudan, location of the largest refugee camp in the world. He is the co-founder of Dadaab Stories, a media initiative used to humanize and help the refugee’s lives. Rafiq dedicates his life to finding a voice for people who often go unheard.
