Nassoro Mkwesso Youth Worker

Nassoro Mkwesso

Nassoro Mkwesso, born on 24th of March in Kigamboni, Dar-es Salaam, is one of the founders of KCC (Kigamboni Community Centre), and works as an Executive Chairman and Activities Director. When he was 4 years old, he wanted to be a professional acrobat, however, it was hard for his parents and relatives to understand and agree with his dream. This made him run away when he was 13 years old. He lived on the streets for 12 months, before his mother took him back home and let him pursue his dream. His family were not happy with his decision and decided not to support him for anything, since his father passed away in May 2001. He had to pay for everything for himself, and for this reason, education was not a priority. He started to find his way through community work in 2007, after founding KCC. Now he is able to pay all costs by himself and helps a large number of community members by means of this great project. He changed his life a lot, and found success. Nassoro now believes that talent can change people’s lives. Every parent should always support their children for the good things.
